Description: This utility allows you to create bots from any model and skin that you choose.

File: Bot Boom
Description: Bot Boom is a program to create new bots for Quake 3 Arena. It generates little scripts, that you copy to your BASEQ3\SCRIPTS directory and allows you to play with new opponents.

Description: It is a utility targeted at Q3A map designers that aids in the creation of arena files (a  text file that is included with a released map). It uses the bot data to determine which bots would be ideal based on certain characteristics the user chooses, as well as the weapon and item load of your map. When creating the arena file, all the user has to do is to select certain criteria based on their map, and then simply generate the arena file. The program also allows editing of the selected bots.

Description: This is a windowed Java program that uses OpenGL to display Quake 3 .md3 model files.

Description: A utility that allows you to check out every map in Quake3Arena, Quake (more game support to be added). It shows a small screenshot of the level and the name of the map. There is skin support.

Description: Not really an editing tool but it's sort of editing if you use it to make Quake III Arena different, right? Name Maker Studio (NMS) is a FREEware "funname" creation tool for many of today's popular games and programs. Name Maker Studio allows you to use different fonts and colors that aren't accessible by default. This software is FREEware meaning you pay nothing for it. Name Maker Studio supports the following games and programs...

Description: This is a mod compiling utility meant to make life easier for mod developers. Some of the features include the option to force the overwrite of an existing mod, and the option to have the include files automatically patched with your mod's directory, and much more.

File: PakRat: Macintosh Model Viewer

Description: This is a special Macintosh model viewer. It displays MDL, MD2, and MD3 models and soon Quake 3 maps. You can drag textures from any paint program and drop them on any mesh (great for skinning). It also sports drag and drop MD3 assembly and shader support. It's free, open source, and under active development.

Description: Quake 3 BSPC Control is a program, which gives Quake 3, maps bot support. If you make a map using Quake 3 Tools you have to run a program called BSPC. For it to work you have to make a shortcut to the file and type in the correct command line for your map. Quake 3 BSPC Control bypasses that and makes it much easier.

File: Q3 Object Exporter Plugin for 3D Studio 3.x

Description: A stable exporter that is not to be used for player models. This is for map models and weapons. The readme has more details you should consider reading thoroughly before using this handy tool. For modmakers you can create animated Q3 models by selected the animated checkbox ANY type of animation is permitted..not just vertex based, you can create object key anims You should delete the ase files in the directory that the MD3 is created in after completion as they can be quite large. Description: A utility/mod that helps add things like skin colorization support, collapsed client variables, an enhanced user interface, a bunch of client-side tweaks, and gets rid of footsteps.

Description: This program handles these fully-scripted texture entities by parsing a script and presenting it in a Windows GUI which is a bit more user-friendly than "the bare C-like" Shader text files.

Description: Q3IDE was designed as a alternative to Visual C++ to be used for Quake 3 coding.

Description: This program eases the compiling of qvms.  At its lowest level it's a gui frontend for q3asm and lcc, but it does more than that.  Unlike the batch files that come with the source code, q3vmaker only compiles the files that have changed since the last compile.  This cuts compilation time down a lot.  Also, it makes it very easy to add new files to the project.  You can import a VC++ workspace file or insert files directly.

Description: Q3BD is a program used to easily and very conveniently create new bots for use in Q3.

Description: Quest is a GPL'ed map editor for Quake1, 2 ,3 and other games. The source is available using CVS.

Description: StrangeUtil allows film-makers and mod makers using Quake, Quake II, Quake III or Half-Life to compress their sound files as MP3 files, and then decompress them on installation, giving a total space saving of around 90% over .WAV file distribution.
