This, simply because the worst band in rock and the worst dubstep producer have joined forces to make the ultimate shit-heap of musical smegma ever. I mean just listen to it :olo:

Listening to Arch Enemy's new album, Khaos Legions... sounds a lot like their previous album in some aspects. Perhaps a bit more balls to the wall shredding though

The band even received a death threat from the USA from someone that considered the album an abomination to black metal

It means I prefer to listen to The Rite of Spring over l'oiseau de feu. Although both are great pieces...

New Devin Townsend album. Can listen to it for free here. It's also on Spotify.

It's some crazy heavy stuff. Guaranteed to make your ears bleed.

100% pure techno joy, Sasha Carassi just cannot go wrong... i wonder if the dude does anything other than sit in his studio producing one awesome track after another. What a hero.

Within Temptation - The Unforgiving

Such a great album, this band just keeps getting better and better. Well worth it if you're into this sort of stuff

Possibly my new favourite album! As good as, if not better than, The Silent Force.

edit: Revising my initial sentiment slightly: this album is absolutely fucking epic.

There was a period a few years back where i listened to a radio station that played a particular form of progressive trance; simplistic but banging tribal like beats, a deep zoomy bassline and drawn out melodic stuff... happy and powerful and melancholic music
Enjoyed the shit out of it whatever mood i was in & whatever i was doing... partying, working, cleaning the house - t'was always good. Then suddenly, before i was able to write down names of tracks or artists, the whole style inexplicably vanished overnight and i was never able to find anything remotely like it again. Until now that is, behold!!

Thought it was kind of average to be honest. I'm not much of a Within Temptation fan actually, but I do think that for them it's a good attempt at a concept album. It doesn't tickle my musical glands enough I guess. I'm happy they're finally moving away from the whole fairy tale elves and stardust bullshit though.
