Didn't bother watching it, but at first glance, it looks like a rip off of Wilfred. yawn.

Well... the guy does do like a 3 hour stretch of shows on Sundays so he's probably good for 1 flick.

The talking teddy bear is a complete gimmick, replaceable with a fat best friend/roommate human character just as well. But that would make it just like one of a million other sappy boy-meets-girl-relationship-compromised-by-fat-best-friend movies. CGI on the teddy looks pretty good though.
