What happens when DLC goes too far? Defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl! But first you’ll need to find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing.
Features:
- Platforming action! Coins to collect, a princess to save, a bad guy to defeat. You like that stuff, right? - 16 different DLC packs, each providing quiet introspection on the state of the gaming industry - 10 awardments to earn and make you feel reasonably satisfied with yourself
Since this game is only 99 cents, it's already cheaper than most DLC you can buy.
was in the last indie bundle, along with hard reset and a few others i haven't looked at yet. really good coffee break platformer*
* once you've purchased the pause menu DLC.
on DLC generally - total biscuit talking about the first DLC for tribes:ascend, and its pricing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi2XGFAIPY4 (DLC pricing chat starts around 11:20)
btw, everyone who misses old-fashioned shooters should have a go on tribes if they haven't already:
it's a lot of fun once you've gotten into the "skiing/weapon jumping and winding people up in the chat all at the same time" thing, and while there are a few pay-to-win folks running around with the new skins, you don't really need any of that crap to play and will get by just fine with the free client. not sure what it's like for serious gaming, but for dossing about after work i'm enjoying it more than BF3 - partly because it doesn't take two clients, a browser and 15 spare minutes just to bloody start up.
