One user, "jamie_marsters" appears to be quite prolific, posting and replying many, many times a day. We suppose it's sort of creepy that she's taken the name of Buffy star James Marsters, and changed it to Jamie to imply familiarity, like an ex-girlfriend or an old babysitter might. A quick look at the profile statistics and things get much worse. Look at the number of total posts "jamie" has made:

Huh, she must be really into the community to make almost 40,000 posts. The only problem being: There's no community. There is only jamie_marsters. Scrolling through the archives reveals that there are virtually no other users, just this one, posting non stop, replying to herself, over and over again, every minute of every day for the last six years, alone inside her own dark little echo-chamber of madness.

I so totally can see the same being posted about Q3W in the future, where the only person left posting is Duhard with pics of steroids and a severe lack of pics of his steel biceps, claiming to crush the egos of any newbies around.

I'm skeptical but I do wonder which of us will be the first to go. Lifestyle wise I should be first but I doubt it cause you guys seem to be falling apart.

every one one of the sites listed on that cracked.com article are horrific. in many ways, the buffy site is only mildly mental by comparison

I think he means that each post has a link in it to a site that they want to get higher in search engines. Like someone spamming their signature, but maybe with more than one site. Basically, that is all spam made to move some sites up in search engines, not the forum they were linked to on, that (forum) may have already been high in search engines (and they were taking advantage of that. The article writer found the forum site, after all). Seems clever to me.

The article didn't quote any of the posts, so we can only speculate :smirk:
