lol. I actually should've googled a bit better yesterday because now I found some forum thread in which people say it's because there is no beta event, so I guess I'll be able to log in when the time is right.

Nice heads -up, but fuck that useless cunting fuck of a site. I accidentally added 2 to basket and it wouldn't let me then remove one. There's just no goddam button to do it. Then I couldn't even open the cunting cart, everytime I tried either just forced a capsule install, which was already done, or went straight to the payment screen, or just re-opened the store page. Anything but open the motherfucking cart and let me take one out. Criost that was frustrating. Useless.

Aye, been on and off since 5AM BST. Got most of my characters done, but still one left to go. All of the good names have gone too. To be honest, they should have done names on a per server rather than global basis.

which could cause problems if people switch servers or "guest" on another server. Having said that, I still think it's sort of dumb to force names to be unique. There's more people with the same name in real life too, right?

I haven't got to play any of the beta, but I'm still very interested in this game.

Played for a while on sunday, it's okay eh. Doesn't draw me in the way WoW did back in the day, but then i wasn't really expecting it to. Also, thank fuck for that :smirk:

There's also a lot i don't understand yet, like the obscure skill points system. I currently have 8 of the things unspent, since i'm only allowed to spend them on a few skills i don't really want, until i reach level 20 apparently, then i get to pick new ones. Wtf? And the professions, haven't figured those out at all yet either. And are there really no instances to play with your buddies before level 40? :tear:

It's certainly a very pretty game though, and the big events are excellent fun. And Engineer is a pretty cool class, i be deploying turrets and throwing mines and not afraid of anything.

So I caved and bought it, hoping that it will run on my laptop. It's downloading right now.
What server should I sign up to to be able to play with you guys, or does that not really matter?

Ok I have no clue what the hell is going on in this game... Sensory overload.
Runs decent enough at low settings though.

I play as Trichom or Ser Trichom on Henge of Denravi. Still low-level toons thanks to busy work shit, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. :up:

Not enjoying it as much as gw1 yet. I wanna do big missions with 8 player parties and, more importantly, not have complete strangers interfere with whatever I'm doing.

I went for Ranger. I played a Monk and a Ranger in GW1, but since a Monk doesn't exist anymore I thought I'd go for Ranger because I'm familiar with that style of play.

I played an Engineer to 14 and a Warrior to 13 so far. Engineers are fun and the idea of turrets for temporary pets is interesting, but the kits you can use all suck. Warriors, on the other hand, have all kinds of choices in combat and I'm still figuring out what I want to stick with. Maybe dual-wielding swords...

Guardian is the closest you'll get to monk.

There's actually very few ways people can interfere. Your story is instanced. Gathering nodes and quest items are client-side. No rolling for drops. No tagging of mobs for kills and players can mostly do 2 or 3 different things to progress an area mission. The only caveat is for skill challlenges and world events when you typically need other people around.
