I'd estimate 1 out of 10 people I saw in the last two weeks while at various airports had either a pair of beats headphones hanging around their necks (or the earbuds in their ears while plugged into their phone that needed to be held up for whatever reason), or a copy of fifty shades of grey (which was never open, only held).

Same problem here but they walk around oblivious to the world on mobiles or texting (same). Just haven't got a care in the word. Stuck in their own maybe.
Increased traffic/pedestrian hazards of course on the footpath vs roads.

The ones I target are those in the supermarket. I head straight toward them until we near collide.
