Hey, can you get the flower models from the map, "Blobby Goo"?

http://lvlworld.com/#c=m1&i=1121&d=19%2 ... l&p=review

I tried contacting the author but his email address in outdated. (This map was released in 2002). Any links/downloads/ideas? Thanks. :)

You just like that map because it's almost Blobby Gooball :olo:

By the looks of it, he made the models himself so I doubt you'd be able to get them anywhere. The only solution you'd have then is to convert the map to an ase model, pick out the model you want manually, check if it needs UVW unwrapping, set it near the origin and export to md3/ase.

gooball, to convert a .bsp file to .ase (or even .map) you just need to use the -convert compiler option with q3map2 such as:

q3map2.exe -convert ase -game quake3 "path_to_.bsp_file"

See: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Q3Map2

head over to http://www.katsbits.com

There are tutorials on importing .ase files in to the Blender modeling program there.

That's just not fair. It's 8.55am here and I just got up, I downloaded this map and started it to see what's so special about the flowers. I've run around and looked at the level.

Just to find a cave with green eyes and get ripped apart by a devilish claw that scares the shit out of me. Seriously, my heart stopped beating for a second, my neck felt frozen and I almost threw my mouse away.

But it's good to know. Next time I'll see dandelions, I'll beat them to their bitter end :)

EDIT: Concerning Blender. The Wiki might be helpful.
