Milkshape 3D. I used it to convert these along with other stuff from Quake 4:
The skin is made by me, but the model is converted from Quake 4

Milkshape 3D is not for free. You can use it (if I remember correctly) 30 times (30 launches) or for 30 days trial and you can not save the models while in free demo mode. If you want to do so, you must buy a licence (legal provide of user name and key)... There is also illegal way to do, but it's not recommended...

Good results have Blender that is for free. It only has half size grid and axes are rotated compared to Q3's model metrics... You should only find any scripts that allow converting between these game model formats, Blender impicitly do not support MD3 or LWO models...

I use MS3D only to converting models, for making new one I downloaded Blender...

Yeah I have a Milkshape licence, I forgot about that... Bought it over 10 years ago lol.
I'd say it's the best and easiest program for dealing with Quake's MD3's

I'd change saving implicitly to MD3 for saving ASE models and converting them to MD3 with q3data :) This is also possible...

Sorry, mates. Recently I have found out that there is no need to convert *.lwo into *.md3, beacuse GTKRadiant works with them well enough. Oops...
Thus, there is no more need in this topic.
