It's a completely different suit to be honest. You can make w/e in Unity much easier than if you wanted to c++ the idTech3 into something else.

I'm using it to build a 2D platformer game. Still has a long way to go and it really is a learning process for me but so far Unity makes everything so easy to do.

So I tried Unity and have to say i really like it!
But i have to buy some Books next week for unity, photoshop, C# and blender. Im also thinking about to get a small graphic tablet like the bamboo for working in photoshop.
Looks like theres alot to learn from now :D

I bought myself the Wacom Intuos not too long ago. It's a lot nicer doing any sort of image editing with it than with a mouse.

THX Eraser, Maybe i can buy a used Wacom for a good price.
But at first i need a new PC and have to buy the components in the next 6 months!
I want to buy:
-AMD FX-8370 Black Edition
-A cheap 75 Euro Board
-32Gig RAM
-GeForce ??? with CUDA / around 250E
Is it right that i can compile stuff in blender / 3ds via that CUDA stuff? So it wont set my cpu at 100% while compiling? And is it possible to add a second CUDA GFX Card (the same) to just boost performance in compiling? I know bout that micro-lag problem in games but who cares :D
