Just watch Rise of Skywalker. I actually liked it. I haven’t been a huge fan of these new Star Wars films, but this one was fun. They’ve all been fun enough I guess...

Saw Jumanji and Rise of Skywalker in the same week - both in Dolby Cinema.

A light saber fight with 3D audio was pretty cool - too bad it wasn't in 3D as well :D

Just got back from it. Absolutely epic. Horrible stuff, that WW1, right?

I didn't really know anything about this movie, but did notice the whole movie is a single shot. There are a few obvious spots where they managed to sneak in some cuts, but there are a few quite lengthy complicated bits where they just had to have the luxury of cuts but it's an absolute mystery where they might've put them.

One thing that does get a bit messed up by this is progress of time. The events in the movie should take 6 to 8 hours, but obviously the movie isn't that long. So it's a wonder how they managed to do 6 hours of work in 2 or so hours.

There were lots of cuts, you just have to know where to look :)

I've been watching a lot of videos from Corridor Crew and they taught me how to spot the cuts in seemingly long single-take shots.

If there was an oscar for camerawork it would've gone to 1917, watch some of the behind the scenes where they're lifting cameras off dollys onto steadcams and then onto cranes all in one take.

Saw 1917 at an independent cinema where I live with a very nice seat and a few beers. What a fantastic film.

Me and the wife watched the Mr.Rogers movie tonight. I honestly feel it’s the most disturbing video I’ve watched in a long time. It’s very odd.

The Good Liar (2019)

Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen played their parts so well  and the short is, an old conman sets his sights on a widow, but the tables are turned and not as you might expect.

Get a chance, watch.

Is that the Tom Hanks recent movie? If not, got a link or more info?

Marriage Story

I was hesitant. A movie about a divorce in times of Metoo and political over-correctness and whatnot...

I was pleasently surprised.
It's a down to earth approach on the matter in these modern times and there are no good or bad parties really. Everyone is kind of an asshole :).

Good movie 7.5/10

It was ok. But Hollywood is so full of themselves. The story of divorce could have been about anyone in any part of the country. But no. It was about an actress and stage director, set in New York and LA. So relatable...

I see.
I watched it as a european where stage and movies are heavily subsidized by the country they film or perform in.
So that aspect got lost on the way.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - 7/10

I quite enjoyed it, as I tend to do with most Tarantino films. Excellent soundtrack and quite a fun film. Pitt and DiCaprio gave excellent performances.
