Cancelled Quake GBA port source found!

Post by LegendGuard »

An unreleased Quake :q1: prototype has been discovered, according to the news. It's a 256MB Flash Card, rarely GBA games usually use less than 128MB.

Dang, that's really cool! I didn't realize the GBA was capable of anything 3D like that.

As the system was cartridge-based, I wonder if they'd included some 3D rendering hardware on the cart, in the same way they did for Starfox on the SNES?

I tested the ROM in an Android cellphone using MyBoy! app.
The game freezes completely after 3 seconds, but the music continues and can be listened looply.

About SNES and this stuff, I only read these words appearing in the info: "BLEEM emulator as well as the groundbreaking SNES port of Doom"
I don't know what BLEEM emulator means.
The only thing I find is "Bleem!", a PSX emulator, I don't think it's what we want to find though.
