hi. since the first post with all the information and links was deleted from the other thread (I assume it was killed along with all of riddla's posts), I took the liberty of recreating it. It took a little while sorting through googles cache, and some ctrl c/v but here it is. I decided to put it in a new thread since It would be at the bottom of the other thread with no way to move it to the top post. Or if the mods want to move it back or fix it, thats fine too. I also went through the posts and updated the list. Some links may be broke as I didn't get a chance to test and update them all yet.

Sticky'd. I'm somewhat of two minds about merging the old topic with this one. Some of the comments contain useful info and/or links but others are just the regular inane chatter.

The 'missing' files from the demo aren't there for a reason. Buy the full game.

The reason for my request is that if you install Quake III Arena from original CD, a newbie get some links from "Q3A Community" folder like:

and when he click on link , he will point at http://www.quake3world.com/files with don't contain Point Release 1.32 info and download link with is very wrong. I can ask if admins of this site will be so kind to take look at "Quake3 PRO Installer" app and make some use of if because program will get huge update soon. Can we do something together for the community ?

http://www.promode.org = fail site. They don't tell you what's the latest version of the mod, and when you DO figure it out (roughly) and download it there's no bloody documentation on how to play it, just a bunch of crap about server setup, which is fine for admins, but we players would like to know what's going on too!

I know it, and I have it, but I have no real manual for it. In any case, CPMA apparantly lost its ability to load maps. It just skips back to the menu at "Connecting to Locahost." I erased all the maps that shipped with it.

Using this application can save over 25 serious problems that new player can face.

Long time no see.

I've been playing Quake Live for the passed couple years and want to get back with ProMode. I'm not sure what I need to get into servers since I keep getting errors. I basically want Threewave and ProMode and hope you guys can let me know what I'm missing..

EDIT: With Game Scanner, I get this error: "Server didn't pass any launch condition. Check your launch scripts or game path is missing."
