Re: Do you draw?
Good idea, but your posing won't work with the camera or "look at" angle you've chosen. When creating poses, think of them in silhouette only: no lines or details..just black and white. If the pose is readable in silhouette, then it's easier (and more appealing to the eyes) in final render.Κracus wrote:

Like I said...cool pose, but if you were to do this drawing in silhouette it'd just be a blob.

nice drawing. though i wonder--why would anyone keep a rat as a pet?brisk wrote:I haven't drawn for years. Last thing I did was this, because a friend wanted a sketch of her rat drawn (lol)

Cause they're tiny little rodents but are as smart as dogs and be trained. I thought about getting a few because they were pretty cool but then I found out about the type of people that keep rats.
Believe me, the rat owner stigma is was worse than the stigma people have against simple rats.
Fancy rats rule.

Yeah, I kinda know what you mean. I use a website called posemaniacs.com to do 30 second practice drawings, I find doing this a few times helps me to create a more consistent 3D ish type of figure with good proportions instead of your standard front facing profile or side facing profile that plagues most amateurs like myself. So I go out of my way to draw people that display a lot of motion. That site also has profiles that you can practice drawing like you said, I've never played with that feature but the other feature (the 30 second drawings) is really awsome. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to practice drawing a human figure.

By pen tool I mean the pen tool in Photoshop, Illustrator (which is much better than Photoshop's one), Inkscape etc for creating curves; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAN9XHqVb-k (I just picked it randomly)Κracus wrote:Yeah I would LOVE to have a pen tool instead of a mouse... I seen a guy draw a dragon on youtube using one and it's just amazing the stuff you can do with it.
A graphics tablet is also very useful I'm sure.

In my spiderman colored sketch you can kinda see the technique I'm talking about in the windows but I wasn't able to use it on the characters..

Why, i believe that's the first image you made that i'm not instantly disliking for various reasons. It's... pretty good even.Captain Mazda wrote:
Now go forth and delete all your other images, for they are still terrible and do not deserve to be in the virtual presence of this one.

Re: Do you draw?
I call bullshit on Captain Mazda actually creating that... but if it is so, it's great work..in so many levels...damn it's hard to shallow
Re: Do you draw?
It would be okay if it weren't for the stupid grainy filter that he put on top. Is that supposed to be rain or something?

Re: Do you draw?
its supposed to be a canvas texture. it works, albeit a bit over the top perhaps
Re: Do you draw?
It's amazing what you can do with filters.Ryoki wrote:Why, i believe that's the first image you made that i'm not instantly disliking for various reasons. It's... pretty good even.Captain Mazda wrote:[img]
