Are you assembling it yourself? If you fuck up the tiniest bit you'll have a crap sounding guitar.

yes i am assembling it myself. Ive done a few before so , plus its easy peasy !

actually it cant sound crap unless the neck and body dont play nice together (bad vibrations, note cancelationing) mostly it just works out tho, my last partcaster tele is soooooo awesme its the reaso i'm doig this one !

the good pickups really help in the sound, no theyre not everythig, but theyre alot.

yeaq i want to get it together but the package with the body hasnt arrived yet

Well, if the lacquer's been professionally applied, bolting the thing together's not so hard is it? Strat neck plus semi-hollow Tele body sounds good, is that H/S, H/H or what? Post pics when you're done.

yup bolt on mix n match parts!

i'mgonna finnish it my self, ive done ok in the past prolly some wipe-on poly steel-wooled off on the neck, the body somekind of rustic burst is the theme 4 this one as the ash grain on this one are awesome!

yea 60' strat neck, hollow ash tele body with strat forarm and tummy cuts for comfort!

ive been plkaying sitting and i really dislike the back edge of reg tele cutting in to my boob!

H/S H/H ? --haha yea no , traditional tele singles front and back!

I've recently been eyeing this:
http://www.feedback.nl/electrische-gita ... aul-std-hs

Supposedly it's a very decent guitar for only €650. For a real Gibson Les Paul you easily pay double or triple that and at the store I linked to, the Epiphone is only €399!

Ibanez JS and S series are very light. My main gigging guitar is an S540 and its main plus point is that I can still play after crippling myself lugging amps about... Also S series are dirt cheap second hand and with some new pickups and a trem stopper they're lovely guitars

Friend has had an epi LP for about 10 years now and it's his favourite guitar. Nicely weighted and sounds quality

Dammit, I do want this guitar, but I need the ultimate excuse to buy it.
Next to my Ibanez JEM and RG and my strat it definitely adds something to my lineup. Especially the sustain on the JEM isn't optimal IMO.

Definitely play the actual guitar you're going to buy before getting an Epiphone; they look the part but I've played a couple I didn't like the feel of, and to a certain extent you're paying for the frilly bits (block inlays, binding, flame top) rather than the actual guitar. There used to be a cheaper Gibson Les Paul Studio model without all of the crap on.

On the other hand, I'd go for a 335 anyway :p

I'm not going to buy a guitar without playing it first of course. The Gibson is nice, but quite a bit more expensive than the Epiphone. I'm not sure if, at this time, I can really justify buying a 1000 euro guitar.

Nice. Odd to see a strat neck on a tele body. Dumb question maybe, but shouldn't you put a finish on there before assembling the neck and body? Or are they not fixed together yet?
