Anyone watch this show? It came highly recommended to me and has had glowing reviews, so I figured i'd add it to my increasingly large list of shows to watch.... needless to say, it has pretty much taken over and i've ploughed through 2 seasons in the space of a few weeks. Fantastic lead characters, a refreshing plot and lots of surprises with each episode - honestly, it's up there with shows like The Wire and Dexter in the "must watch tv" stakes.

save walter white! :olo:

Season 3 starts in March, so if you haven't seen it yet, you've got a few months to catch up. Trust me, it really is fantastic.

It's amazing. Thanks for the heads up on Season 3, I've been checking out the interwebs every so often waiting for word.

Decent show, it goes a little crazy and flies all over the place with the shit that Walt and Jesse get themselves into.

Also Jesse is annoying as shit sometimes. Definitely an entertaining show tho, ready to see where season 3 goes after the end of 2.

I'm looking forward to the return of this show. Also Rescue Me should be resuming soon and Treme is going to rule television.

In the meantime I've been watching Burn Notice which is a essentially a spy private eye show with Bruce Campbell in a supporting role (good cast all around).

Breaking Bad should be extremely dark this season if things keep going like they were.

My Father and I both really enjoy Breaking Bad. We have been watching it since it first started. We're really looking forward to Season 3. Its going to get darker than ever and I'm really excited to see where it goes. The Pacific premieres on the 14th and I'm more excited for that then anything. These are going to be the two best shows on Television.

I have it recorded, can't wait to watch it tonight. After last week my only thought was "Hmm, it appears that Hank's fucked". The previews for last night's episode seemed to bear this out, what with the Mexican hitmen heading to Hank's house to axe him a few things. :olo:

Oh yeah, Skyler's a stupid whore.

No kidding. I think though, she is slowly coming around to realizing how fucking stupid she has been. Her bitchiness is getting in the way of admitting it.

I think they will get back together eventually. After her boss gets nailed for cooking the books that is.

I started watching this a couple weeks ago, and just finished season 2 Friday night.

I can get the last few episodes of season 3 from OnDemand, but episodes 1 & 2 aren't on there. Going to have to go find them before I start watching the latest ones.

This show is terrific, both my wife and I are hooked.

I got into this show about half way through season 2. The week(end?) before S3 started, they had a huge marathon during which I caught up on almost every episode I missed I think.

Last night's episode was freaking awesome. Season 3 was a little slow to start, but man it's getting good.

I disagree about Skyler and Walt getting back together though. Especially after last night.

Ehh, I watched it last night and while it was an excellent episode, I don't think it was the greatest thing I've ever seen on TV. What killed it for me was Jesse's big melodramatic speech, he really overdid the whole thing.

I liked the fact that Hank survived, although the dropped Black Talon bullet bit was a little contrived. I think the best part of the episode was the flashback at the beginning with old Uncle Psycho holding the kids head down in the beer cooler. :olo:

Oh, it all just came together for me. The culmination of a lot of buildup, excellent acting (and yeah, perhaps a little melodramatic by Jesse, but still a v good performance imo) and Hank totally came into his own. The last few minutes were as good as anything i've seen from The Wire, BoB, Twin Peaks etc... just brilliant stuff. I love this show very much.

Really enjoyed the last episode.
Was only episode 7 out of 13, but the way previous episodes built up to it, it almost seems season finale worthy.

I like how they nuanced Hank's character along the way.
In the first seasons he just was this boorish, obnoxious rube, but now he's become much more three dimensional and identifiable.

Walt made a wise move cutting Jesse in.
Hank's off the hook, so no more bullshit from Skyler, plus Jesse will be less inclined to rat him out.
And that at the cost of just $1.5 million :)

Breaking Bad is excellent tv, and I can't really think of any other tv series I enjoy more.

I think I might be a bit jaded in regards to the degree of awesomeness of that last episode. In comparison to the average Sons of Anarchy episode, it seems pretty tame. It was a great show, and the series overall is phenomenal. I think Bryan Cranston does a masterful job, and I agree with the way they've developed Hank over the course of the series. I hated him at first, he was the perfect overgrown frat boy, but I found myself hoping that he wouldn't end up with an axe in his head. I loved the scene where he was sobbing like a bitch in the elevator and then back to stone-faced goon once the doors opened.
The only thing I didn't like about the episode was given the fit that Jesse threw (and yes it was believable), it seemed a bit stupid for him to just change his mind and agree to partner up with Walt a few minutes later.

I think there might be more to the Jesse U-Turn actually. Its possible he be working with him intentionally as a means to revenge, since he blames him for everything that went wrong in his life. Did you notice the shot of the pain chart too? It's gonna be interesting to see how it develops.

Oh and apparently, the other cousin (the one who got crushed) is still alive, so hopefully they can keep the steam rolling with regards to the general insanity that is going on now :)

Just watched the last ep. ("Half Measures"). Show goes from strength to strength.
Not as exciting and pumping adrenaline as "One Minute", the one where Hank gets attacked by the cousins, but ever so well written. There's no filler episodes or padding of episodes in BB, everything matters and everything clicks. So fucking enjoyable to watch.

Season finale next week. Episode's called "Full Measure". Not sure what that means.
The way Mike told his story when visiting Walt about regretting taking "half measures" with the wife beater when he was a cop seems to suggest Jesse is on the hit list.
Maybe "full measure" suggests Walt going all Heisenberg on Gus, taking *him* out in order to protect Jesse, feeling some loyalty and guilt (having left Jane to die, etc.).
But that would seem quite a risky task to take on.

However, the show's endurance dicates that both Walt and Jesse survive, but I'm still very curious about how this season will play out.

On a side note: These have to be the ugliest cars I've ever seen driven a single production.

Yeah, granted, there's no real plot development there.
Just emphasizing Walt's eye for detail, almost being anal about it, the bigger picture in mind, and Jesse's lack of seeing that, and being a short term minded idiot.
Jesse just living day by day. Seeking revenge on all that he thinks caused him and his harm.

But I wouldn't call it a "filler episode". Just an episode establishing states of mind. Preparing us for the shit that's about to ensue.

yeah it was filler, the plot points were legit, but they didn't need 45 minutes to develop them. it was boring.

Not the best show ever in my book, but certainly refreshing and solid telly

Hmm, trying to figure out whats gonna happen with that last episode ending.

I think the "boss" gave the go ahead for Walt to lay the smack down after the kid was killed.
