just moved house waiting for broadband installation then will check it out or not thumbsup
Re: Bastion
I love the way its got that Firefly style Old Western vibe but yet the story and setting are very sci-fi/fantasy. The simplicity and pace of the game despite the amount of depth is nothing short of genius. I really love the story but I wish we were given more. Looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

Re: Bastion
Beat the first play through in probably 8 hours but I skipped some proving grounds. Looking forward to the second round.
Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Re: Bastion
played the demo. game by itself is pretty straight forward but the handpainted visuals and narrator mechanic (not to mention his voice) makes this a very immersive game.
will buy, n1 bitwise.

Re: Bastion
Reminder: PC version is 2 days away.
Re: Bastion
The soundtrack was also released and is well worth checking out. Absolutely beautiful.
Re: Bastion
The game you guys need to check out is To the Moon:

Both of these games really need to hit the iPad though.
"There exists a technology that allows doctors to weave artificial memories, such that a patient can request attempts to alter their mind, and wake up with memories of things that didn't actually happen.
However, since these new memories are permanent, the conflict between them and the existing authentic memories clash in such a way that it ceases the person's ability to properly function.
Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives. . . but didn't."

And the soundtrack is special

Re: Bastion
Glad to see someone finally take my advice and pick it up. The few friends I managed to talk into it haven't even bothered to finish it.

Re: Bastion
I'm not completely bowled over by it like I was by some other indie games such as LIMBO, Braid or machinarium but it's still good, I reckon I'll finish it. The soundtrack's got a lot of pull.

Re: Bastion
Took me about 9 hours to finish. Would give it a second go in new game plus if I didn't have half a million other games to play.
Re: Bastion
Oh by the way, here's an interview with Logan Cunningham, the guy that did the narrator voice. He is one ugly mofo
Re: Bastion
He's also voice acting in Resonance, which lands on the 19th.
Re: Bastion
Snatched this the other day, played it, thought it was really good stuff. Enjoying the voice acting and the soundtrack especially. Will play more prolly

Re: Bastion
I keep trying to like it, but it just doesn't have enough. It's very pretty and sounds fantastic, but it just feels a bit hollow.
