Seems pretty impressive in Chrome but I can't really play at work. Site barely loads in FF though.

Now install the hi-res texture package and DX11 update.

This demo may not be available in your area yet or Internet traffic may be too high to support a great gameplay experience at this time. Please try again later.

The client is running locally similar to what QuakeLive did but I think these guys are streaming compressed data instead of doing an install.

Yeah I'm not really sure... I doubt very much the client is being installed locally though, the game launches too quickly. It's likely being run on the server and somehow being replicated using some java magic. I know it's not a video stream like onlive though you can tell by how responsive the gameplay is but a full client... I'm skeptical.

Very impressive, had some problem installing the java plugin with firefox, but after a reboot everything is fine. Just tried the dead space 2 demo, very impressive, still a lot of compression for the video and the audio. It doesn't beat the console with full HD. I still get the feeling that it's a video stream coming from a server. Didn't try onlive, I can't compare, because, well, I still don't believe in that (game streaming).

It's noticably different than onlive and I'm skeptical this is streaming video.

who cares how they do it, as long as it loads fast and is playable. Seriously, what's to be skeptical about?

Well, I still think it's rendered on the server and the video is streamed, I've tried 3 demos and you cannot change any graphics settings except brightness/contrast and just look at the network usage while playing. Looks to be video streamed. But the implementation is a technical feat by itself.

Doesn't work, says it is either not available in my region or the bandwidth needed for a "great experience" is not available.

lol feedback's slightly butt hurt reply is very enlightening about Hong Kong's self proclaimed elite status, and the wide sweep of resentment towards the rest of china. Smells like Deus Ex in here.

Wow, good for them, they must have made a fucking mint. Hopefully Sony doesn't try to milk it too much, it could be a great service.

$380 million. There is tons of speculation that this will be used with the PS4.

That would be pretty epic but you'd probably need a subscription with Sony of somekind. I'm not too crazy about that unless they're charging what Microsoft charges for xblive.

Yeah, it is. Do you guys realize how many times I've posted new tech that goes big YEARS after I've posted it here? It happens a lot, I should seriously start investing in this shit or something.
