OK, like I said. I am looking for those quirky and unique gifts to give to friends and family this year.

I am pretty sure people I know don't frequent this forum so I feel safe :smirk: so I ask you all, please throw me some of the different gift ideas you have considered or indeed given recently.

I am looking at these at this moment. Thoughts?

novelty wine glasses? do you not like these people or is this the intentional beginning of a re-gifting chain?

Re-gifting, never thought it would end this way but then.... No, I am not aware any gifts I give are re-gifted :(

Thanks HM-PuFFNSTuFF. Our National Geographic shops here tend to see educational stuff and to the young (or meant for them) but I see some value in perusing further...

give them something that reflects their personality or their interests, or that's relevant to some experience you shared with them in the past, so it shows you made the effort and out some thought into it

obviously no one on here knows your friends, so you'll just end up with a load of weird, faux-leftfield olde gifte shoppe type of suggestions. but hey, knock yourself out :)

I got this for my parents on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. It's pretty fucking cool.

Here is pt1 of related documentary.
