Has the racist motive convincingly been established?
I know there's some debate about whether he indeed said "coon", but even if he did, that doesn't inherently mean the shooting was race related.
If it was a senior citizen, and he yelled "get down, oldtimer", the shooting wouldn't necessarily have something to do with age.
Although "coon" is more offensive than "oldtimer".
I don't know, maybe I'm just trying not to buy into the whole media hype.

I didn't want to buy into it, either, but from the audio (no, not NBC's edited version, heard it on NPR) I heard Zimmerman is a racist, cowboy asshole. He immediately described Martin as looking like he was up to something, mentioned that he was black (not in context of simply describing his physical attributes), disregarded police instructions to wait and not follow Martin, then actively sought him out and confronted him.

What's ironic to me is all the liberal, hippie faggots squawking about the Stand Your Ground law as the reason Martin was shot, when Martin was the one that had the right to assert it based on feeling threatened by Zimmerman.

If you live in a subdivision that has a homeowner's association (I don't, Flying Spaghetti Monster be praised), then you've met George Zimmerman. He's the HOA president, the nosy, authoritarian, busybody, cop-wannbe asshole that thinks he's the sheriff. Fuck that guy.

I read Zimmerman got arrested today. Let's see how it plays out.

What I dislike is how Obama got involved, making comments that are surely going to influence any jury.
A president should refrain from making comments on such judicial controversy.
