well he said he was happy with the performance, he is no good at managing at this level though, hes turned England into a worse version of Stoke and the defending was pretty poor, couldnt stop a cross or players getting in behind the line with one of the most static defences youll ever see, even when they had 11 men in the box, ive never seen 4-4-2 compressed into an 18 yard box before this game !... Italy just couldnt finish their chances

if your poor in possession then you need a good passing game but Roys brilliant idea was lump it forward to the little man, hes never believed in a midfield

I know I said a few pages back that Roy got England playing at their level, it was more tounge in cheek because he's pulled the wool over everyones eyes, there is way too much ability in the squad for this type of football, I was impressed because that is the best team work from England ive seen in a while (as opposed to individual performances) but at the same time there are fewer ego's in the dressing room and his brand of football is complete bollocks, I could rip at it all day but if his passing / possession stats dont improve (which they wont) then he will find qualifying for the world cup more than stressful and I promise he'll be slagging off his own players and itll all be back to where we started

Jesus tittyfucking christ, that was one of the most horrible, mindblowlingly boring matches i've ever witnessed. Was at a friends place and those bastards insisted on watching the whole fucking thing, dispite my gloomy prediction of a dire match with 0-0 after 90 minutes. Was pretty disgusted when it was over, felt like i wasted my evening. Which in fact i probably did.

If the football gods are just they will not stand for any more such ugly displays of dullness and ze Germans will win with a nice attractive attack game in the finals.
