gtkrad help- mouse speed problems

Post by eepberries »

running: gtkradiant 1.3.12

Just lately I started using gtkrad again and I noticed a problem that really bothers me. For some reason, my mouse speed is alot slower in gtkradiant than it normally is, and I mean by alot. It seems to be about .5 times the speed of what it regularly is outside of rad.

Is there any way I can change the mouse speed in gtk? Can this be at all fixed?

That just changes the speed my 3d view moves at. My 3d view isn't the problem. My mouse is slow while moving it around the rest of the program.

Not sure, but you are using an older version of Gtkradiant.

1.4.0 is the version that I use for Q3 editing. Or you can try the 1.5.0 beta.

1.4 Is teh shit, 1.5 is way better. But, if you've used the previous versions alot you'll need to spend a week getting used to the new things. :p

Well I found out the solution to the problem anyway. If you have 'do not apply mouse acceleration in games' checked under mouse options, this will apply to gtkrad.

edit: though I'm still using 1.3.12 because 1.4.0 crashes when loading quake 2 textures. It gets a memory address error :o
