For those of you
who haven't had a chance to check out the Team Arena Demo just yet, we
have created a nice list of some comments towards this upcoming mission
pack from id Software.
"I like all of the game
modes. 1FCTF is really a dynamic game -- makes you hustle! And, can
you believe it? It is fun to play defense in Overload (no
points for fragging enemies, though.) It is fun to find strategic ways
to use the prox miner, and the kamikaze is fun to use, awesome to look
at, and great for clearing out the base. I can see teams leading off
with that whenever possible. Actually, the best use of kamikaze seems
to be different for CTF, Overload, harvester, etc. Sometimes it is
best as an offensive weapon, sometimes defensive. At any rate, it will
cause your opponent to re-stock their ammo and power-ups and will make
them a bit confused, unless they have nerves of steel."

like CTF based games. I think some item's like Kamakazi and Prox Mines
need to be controlled, as Kamakazi isn't for every map. It seems as
though people get the ammo charge and the prox mine gun, and have
blankets of prox mines, which are annoying. Prox Mines are good to a
point, but the weapon is to overly used and need a restriction. Like in
Tribes you can only put up so many turret's and it don't allow any more.
Maybe you could set a limit of 10 prox mines per team at any given

it teamplay. I've played a lot of q3ctf so I've been looking forward to

One
thing I wish, instead of having to run and check to see if any runes are
available every time you respawn, why not just get assigned a random
rune when you respawn (if one is available)? That would really speed up
the gameplay a little more because you'd immediately worry about
fragging enemies instead of holding off to get a rune. I see a mod in
