21 Hours (tekdm2)

This project by Tek was essentially an excercise..."Build a map, from scratch, using no prefabs, and finish it within around 20 hours..." This small DM features an interesting multi-tiered layout, together with good architectural details and effective lighting. I think that you'd have to agree that this is a fine lookin' map for a weekend's worth of work.

Runaround (ctfrunaround)

You don't see alot of new CTF's for classic Q3 being released these days, so it's always exciting when someone releases one. "Runaround" features a large flooded central base with interconnecting upper walkways. The architectural detail and lighting are solid, albeit a bit dark, making this CTF by Neotic well worth checking out.

T I T A N S
(Classic Edition)

Two versions of "Titans" have been released by Johnny Law. The classic CTF version is featured here. The TA version is available from his website. Although this map was primarly designed to run with the Challenge Pro Mode, the author states that the map will run just fine with classic Quake3. "Titans" features tons of new graphics and is so overwhelming, it's easy to get lost initially, but this map offers some serious eye candy. It's large, but well worth the download.
