if amsterdam has a chinatown, you can probably find it in stores there. [This message has been edited by Havoc : 08-02-2004.]

Amsterdam has that, i'll see if i can find it.There's no videostores near where i live, and it sucks. I'm forced to purchase DVD's rather than buy them since i (too) often cannot be arsed to drive all the way to the other side of town the next day to return the DVD. The increasing fines often exceed the purchasing price of a DVD, and remorse of ever renting it sets in. There's several DVD renting stores across Amsterdam that i owe money, now. However i refuse to pay the fines out of principle, and i simply never return to the store, only to pick a new DVD renting place days later. Somehow this works, as the stores themselves cannot be arsed to write me angry letters demanding their money. Which is what they probably should do.

btw dmwmh, i just watched the trailer and it didn't really excite me at all (when i saw the hero trailer i was all "holy shit i have to see that").Is Zhang Ziyi the only hot asian woman or something, is that why she's in every single eastern movie i've ever heard of?

You probably haven't heard of many eastern movies in that case Zhang Ziyi looks decent sometimes (e.g. where she's wearing that Indian sort of outfit) and sometimes looks like a 10 year old (e.g. the picture in dmmh's second link where the trailer is) imo. As for the movie itself, it looks pretty cool. Is this only going to have Japanese subtitles or is there some english one somewhere or anything?

ah okay, ill look around for it.don't want to wait forever for a Miramax release or something. i might buy this one when it comes out in Chinatown around here (hopefully with good english subtitles. I bought two region 0 dvd sets (Vision of Escaflowne and Great Teacher Onizuka) before and the subtitles were absolute shit. It was annoying to watch.

What was the site you linked to once that had a review of the various HK releases? I think it was for Hero.
