I do love that colour, I'd do that colour on myself, but I'm not sure how that'll go down with interviewers for a job placement. Bleaching my hair blonde is the furthest I'll go until someone actually guarantees they'll take me on for a year ^^^ the win ^^^[This message has been edited by mik0rs : 10-31-2002.]

it's normalised to what the people who rated you, vote like, as a pattern. If you were rated 1, by 10 people that only ever rated 1 (i.e., really not very nice people, who were trying to ruin other peoples ratings..) then you wuld get something close to 10, as their range of votes is 1, and youre at the top of that range.. if they voted 1 or 2, and gave you a 1, then your score would be more like 5.. halfway through the range they normally express... heh. guess where i moderate now? lol

Thought I'd finally post a pic. I decided at a great time I guess? At work and dirty. Hehehe. All who know me? I wave Hi to you. Not in the pic though. I took the pic with a digital camera I got quite a few months ago. Put it on top of a File cabinet and finally figured out the self-timer on the camera. 5 mins later I had the pic. I'll have my son take a few other pics when i get home maybe. Again... Hello to you all @ QUake3World. Stop by Quake3 Movies and Demos forum and say hi.

Lol.... Talk to my Boss about making it..... YUCK! He sits at the system I'm facing and just browses the net at least half the day. Such a small, itty-bitty,frickin table.... LOL!. The system I'm facing(monitor) is the one I'm typing this message out on. Pentium III 600, WinNT, TNT2 video card. So i can get on and connect to your server axbaby. But playing on it with the crappy video card is another story. The system behind me(monitor) is a Pent. 4 1.8 with on board video. AHHHH!!!! I'll have to bring in another video card for that one and play on it while on break... hehehehe.I am mostly not sitting down at this desk. Saturdays are the only time I really am on these systems. The other Tuesdays thru Fridays? I'm out in the shop Heat Treating Parts. I get in 4:30 am (pacific time) and work until around 2:30 to 4:30pm. You can see a few pics my wife just took a bit ago before we went to lunch. I'll try and explain a little on each pic.
Above is a picture of me pulling some parts out of a molten salt pot. The parts you see wired are 1550°F.
Above is a picture of me quenching parts in a specialized oil used in quenching parts rapidly. Hot stuff! The pictures aren't that good a quality, I know... sorry. Best we can do with the lighting in the shop and the camera itself. It's not that good but it does the job.
Above is a picture of me having the outer door open and flame curtain on( the lower flames out of all of them )
Above is a picture me reaching into the inner chamber of the furnace you see. I have a long bar (about 15' long) grabbing onto a tray inside. The tray has parts that are also 1550°F.
Above is a picture of me taking the parts from an inner chamber where they are heated for a specified time. We then pull the parts to the middle chamber (which has an elevator for raising and lowering parts into a 300 gallon tank of the same specialized oil as before in a prior picture) We pull the tray with a basket on top into the middle chamber and Quench the parts, basket, and tray.

Above is the last picture I'll post. It's the finishing of the quench. I'm about to close the door. I want to thank my wife for taking thse pictures. Takes some talking to her to take pictures of me doing that. She's not thrilled about the flames and dangers of the job. I had an accident a few years back with one of these furnaces... but I won't go into that right now. Hope these pics show up and are not too crappy a quality for you to see a little of what I do for a living? I will try and get some better pics of some other things here in the shop in anyones interested. All of a sudden I had this quote pop into mind..... Not sure why but thought I would post it for a laugh. Out of the frying pan and into the fire! Take care everyone. EDIT: icture links worked fine.... typos though... Heheheheh axbaby. Sooo true, Soooooo true. That shirt I'm wearing is thicker than a normal uniform shirt. The only thing that is hot is my face. The exposure to the flames is at times over-whelming(SP?) but it's only 10 seconds tops from the tme you turn the flame curtain on, open the outer door, open the inner door, pull out the tray w/basket of parts into the middle chamber and quench the parts in oil, closing the outer door and turning off the flame curtain.... Hehehe. But yeah it is a little hot at times..... Great place to work in the winter..... WORST place to work in the summer.. exspecially living in the High Desert of California. Well back to work for me... been messin around on the computer for too long. Will check back later today and see if any more questions on the pics... hhehehe
