Quake 360 Arena (56-screen clustered CAVE)
Happy 20th birthday, Q3A! http://the-source.de/projects/q360a-c.jpg To celebrate the occasion, here is a 360 video of Quake 3 Arena running on a 56-screen clustered CAVE. The recording doesn't quite do it justice, but in person the game looks amazing at this resolution (26,880 x 4,320). Apologize th...

Re: Screenshots
I realize this may not be directly relevant, but I've seen some Crysis screenshots of rocks that even take it one step further. Here's one Example . Of course, the lighting and vegetation play a big role as well, but the geometry and texture of the rocks themselves is superb. Nevertheless, I love Ka...

Re: ..::LvL Re-designed
I think you overdid it with the javascript/ajax stuff. The old page was better structured and easier to browse.
One example of what I mean: I don't want to have to hover over each map to see a screenshot.

Re: Stunning maps - Screenshots
I was talking about the linked version, that one is already modified. If you want to modify the original version, that's the line you need to replace, yes.ALMighty wrote:I couldn't find a line like that in the shader, the closest thing was "ADD result.color, back, blur;".

Re: Stunning maps - Screenshots
One more thing, by default the HDRish bloom effect is very strong. I usually use a toned down version.ALMighty wrote:Thanks, got it!
(The only difference is the line "MAD result.color, blur, 0.55, back;", you can change the factor 0.55 to whatever you wish.)

The HDRish Smartshader is an ATI specific post effect filter. It can be applied to any OpenGL application. You can download it and read more about it here.

Re: Screenshots
I think the lights are cool. The contrast between decayed building and modern lights looks great. Someone put in the lights afterwards, maybe it's an construction site, or an archaeological site or something...
@ALMighty:
Impressive, looking forward to play it.
