Only Mortal Checking In
Been a while... You may noticed a CTF server based out of Bristol in England. I set one up for colleagues as we're having to work from home due to you know what. It's got a few bots and runs dedicated on my old MacPro 1,1. I had to pull the Q3 files off my old G4 PowerBook, which is still working af...

Where are we all now?
Been years since I was this way...
For those who remember me, I'm in the UK now, living in Bristol. Got a view of the cricket ground from my apartment.

*bump*
To be honest, the only game I've played in a few years is Angry Birds. Completed it and the Halloween edition. I was so addicted.

iPhone game music help
Okay, I figured out my account details here... had to go to my old PowerBook to find the settings. Now I know a load of you here are artistic, been Mac guys, and I'm looking for help with music on an iPhone game. If you can't directly help, please let your musically gifted friends know. Essentially,...

The best place for steak in town is "Estro Armonico". Fantastic (even my Texan mate was impressed).
If you like spare ribs, "Amadeus" has an all you can eat. It's always busy!

Re: Quake 3 Arena and Leopard
Not installed Leopard at home so I can't say I tried. I expect that the open source ones will work fine though.

Re: My new job
The Amsterdam chicks are usually foreigners. When I lived there in the 90s there seemed to be a lot of French girls. I recall one I was close to who looked like Courtney Cox. The Dutch girls I knew were all big. Big in the shoulder width, like a farmer girl. Kind of scary to date someone who could b...

Re: My secret project ;-)
I'm still in Antwerp.
The work was done by Ron, my business partner. He's near London, where the servers are. My old 2Ghz dual G5 tower is been used as a database server, so I got a dual dual core Intel MacPro to replace it. Ideal for Safari ;-)

Re: My secret project ;-)
The Windows version of SafeCast and SafeDisc are nothing to do with me. I worked on the Mac versions of SafeCast (as used by Macromedia and Adobe) and SafeDisc for OSX (never actually used by anyone).
Mac games are usually SafeDiscLT, which isn't the same as SafeDisc itself.

Oh, yeah. I bought a MacPro. Quake 4 is noticably faster on it (Intel update). Even Entourage works well, faster than it did on the PowerBook running natively so it seems. I installed XP Pro with BootCamp but I've only booted into it once as I've no real use for it. Works fine with the exception of ...
