Is there any way of getting rid of the "CD Key Nag" that comes up from time to time.
Before anyone says anything, YES i do have a retail bought copy of Q3, with a proper cd key that has to be typed in. Just wondering if there was any way round it.

Cooldown..... Thanks for the pb folder.....it works a treat. Dont know what was different in yours but it seems to work ok.
Have tried it going through in game multiplayer and all seeing eye. Both work.

Yes the Quake III Arena\pb folder does exist with files and folders in it.
Ran quake III, pulled down console and typed in /pb_cl_enable....... nothing happened.
Bottom right of screen Q3 1.32c.

Will download your folder and try it....thanks for that.

My system is not loaded with any type of spyware or viruses and is not extremely childproof.

the pbsetup link you point to does not work. It downloads ok but nothing happens when it is double-clicked.

Have also ran the pbsetup program and if it installs the pnxbstrA/B files you say then it dose'nt put them in the pb folder.

The thing is i have had quake3 running fine about a year ago, even with punkbuster, so i cant understand why it dose'nt work now. The only thing that has changed is the modem/router. cl_punkbuster with either a 1 or 0 after it enables or disables punkbuster.

Typing \pb_cl_enable in console does not bring anything up at all.

I have "seta cl_punkbuster 1" in config file. However when i start quake ( not through all seeing eye ), go to multiplayer it says punkbuster is disabled. It wont let me enable it. Exit quake and open up config file and the "seta cl_punkbuster 1" has changed to "0". Som...

Connect through all seeing eye and the message is...punkbuster anti cheat software must be installed and enabled in order to join the server. Open console and type /pb_cl_enable When i do this the above message just keeps scrolling in the console. Have done the port forwarding on router. Just the on...

When i connect through the in-game servers it wont let me enable punkbuster.

all WAS going well....message now says punkbuster needs to be installed and switched on to play on server...even though it is..............HELP
