Re: So I bought a new shotgun...

Why do guns always have to be such menacing black? It's so cliche. I think fluorescent orange paint would communicate much clearer the inherent dangers of handeling such a weapon. Or maybe you could paint some yellow stripes on that black, so that it looks like some kind of dangerous insect. Its wh...

Re: If I wanted to move up to a nice camera...

I have the Canon Rebel XSi (aka 450D outside of the US) also. I had it for over six months. Its a great starter DSLR camera IMO. What version of photoshop do you need (minimum) to open raw images from newer cameras? The XSi/450D writes in the newer .CR2 raw format. I know that photoshop CS3 you need...

Re: Why is this dickhead still representing us?

You're the tool dude. This thread talked about generalizations and how unproductive they are, then you make one after the fact. As seen here: it's odd that 90% of americans know nothing about the planet they live on and yet 100% live completely on it see what i did there? Then there's more proof of ...

Re: Why is this dickhead still representing us?

Its odd that the Canadians hate us but 90% of the population lives within 200 miles of the US boarder. it's odd that 90% of americans know nothing about the planet they live on and yet 100% live completely on it see what i did there? You're right. They know a little more about the Moon and Mars bec...

Re: Why is this dickhead still representing us?

Well first I want to apologize to the Canadians here. I am just a little frustrated that SOME Canadians on most other boards seem to hate us. I want people outside of the US to know some things about us and my views on it. Our electoral college was enforced by our Civil War. The civil war was fought...

Re: Why is this dickhead still representing us?

so, either you don't actually live in a democracy, or you're ducking responsibility. which is it? hint: it's both The president did not get voted for democratically. It was electoral college voting. One of the main reasons we use it is to allow all states equal representation in this. You Euros sho...

the moon has no gravity - not true It was meant to say no atmosphere. It doesnt have to have a atmosphere to have decaying orbit. Its in the vacinity of a mass planetary object, called The Earth. The moon effects our tides, just think if its reversed when the earths is at a greater mass. Anything o...

Re: What spec PC do you need for 1080p or 720p video?

Edit: I just tried a 720p video and a 1080p video from the link Scourge posted and they play fine (on the 3 Ghz PC), so I guess wmv files don't need such a high spec PC. The picture quality seemed alright but isn't the picture quality on mpeg4s better? (It's hard to tell on the LCD monitor this PC ...

Re: GeForce 8 to gain PhysX support

Havoc was aquired by Intel for pure IP. Intel will not make anything of it, just use parts of its IP in future instruction sets for their CPUs.

GPUs are very powerful and at any point of time there are parts of them not used and thats where PhysX IP will come in.
