Actually I meant video.And updating the drivers did help.And the video card isn't real old,maybe a few years. =/

And by 1.1 I'm mean the original version.Guess I shouldn't be calling it a patch,sorry.

Well I also have integrated sound that might have those.But I put in a kind of "older" video card in the hopes it would make thing a little easier on my RAM when playing a game.I'll try updating it to see if that helps,thank you.

I downloaded the final patch not too long ago.When I tried to started the game,it quits and then the Quake 3 console comes up and says "GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem".I use windows Vista,could that be the problem..although I could run the 1.1 patch on here no problem.
