Re: Microbrush 3 - A 3D modeler

I guess you are on an Nvidia system. I have removed a workaround for the Nvidia driver with this release because the driver doesn't have the respective bug anymore. This thing with const expressions. Would updating the video driver be possible for you? If it doesn't work with the newest driver versi...

Re: Microbrush 3 - A 3D modeler

Adding different render modes that can be switched to on the fly.
The black wireframe mode is actually a fake, rendered on the polygon faces using a shader.

Re: Microbrush 3 - A 3D modeler

Ctrl+F5 on http://shrinker.beyond-veils.de/project ... crobrush3/ to see the new version (2015-12-08). Changes: * Fixed an undo/redo-related crash when closing a world or the editor * Added logging for the modeling tools - you now get live feedback on deltas, dimensions, counts, etc. * Extended the ...

Re: Microbrush 3 - A 3D modeler

There is still a long way to go until I can support textures in my editor. Little steps...

A new version (Microbrush-3-wip-2015-11-24.zip) with undo/redo support (ctrl+z, ctrl+y) is now available at http://shrinker.beyond-veils.de/project ... crobrush3/ .

Re: GTKradiant Network?

One way I can think of: 1. expose a networked folder as a shared partition so you can navigate there with a command prompt 2. in radiant, set up your compile batch files in a way that they copy the map source to the network share and post some kind of marker file 3. on your compiler computer, bring ...

Re: Microbrush 3 - A 3D modeler

Experimented with something in place of a wireframe mode, because a wireframe mode has too much overdraw to be useful. So the new version, with Quake 3 map support and a hacky version of Aeon's bevel tool, is available here (Microbrush-3-wip-2015-...zip): http://shrinker.beyond-veils.de/project ... crobrush3/
Might have to hit F5 once because screw the browser cache mechanisms. :/

Re: AEblocks - Modular Mapping

So on the one hand you want to avoid having many little additional surfaces. On the other hand you don't want z-fighting. You could add darker patches behind the walls that have a bit of distance to them. So they are not triangulated too much and there's no z-fighting either.
