Re: What is new in your little world?
Malmsteen is insanely talented. I remember years ago learning that he sometimes (or often?) plays with scalloped fretboards and my level of appreciation for his virtuosity went up an order of magnitude. It explains some of the wild bends he can pull off. My favourite clip of his is still that instru...

Re: What is new in your little world?
@Mat Linnett Hah, can't say I see too many people speak of metal picks! I have one as well, though it is quite worn down by now. It has a very, er... crunchy sound. I quite like it. I've found that the strings have ground material off the pick and formed it into a very sharp shape which now tends to...

Re: Forum migration and upgrade feedback
Woah! Now avatars are allowed for newcomers and users with less posts. On the one hand, that's nice, it removes the addiction of having more posts to increase from rank to rank. The forum source code is private, right? Since no one can view for security reasons. On the other hand, I was looking for...

Small glitch, when you load www.quake3world.com, it punts you to https://www.quake3world.com/forum/portal.php which appears blank. Clicking the Board Index link brings you here, which works: https://www.quake3world.com/forum/index.php

Re: What is new in your little world?
Network shenanigans... On the guitar front, while I've got a nice Blackstar HT20-R combo amp and pedal board set-up, I find that when I practice these days, it's mostly through my Spark Mini , which is a wonderful little desktop amp. Pokey enough to give good tone, with excellent and extensive amp ...

Re: The last movie you saw
Train to Busan 7/10 Classic zombie tropes. Had Snowpiercer vibes with the whole "trapped on a train" thing and elements of class warfare. Still, not a bad flick and there was some pretty intense action moments and some decent humour sprinkled throughout. The main character (father) was a v...

Re: [BETA] 13night "Vanilla Nights"
Had a quick rip through with a bot and then again just to bomb around by myself. Map looks really slick! I was running around trying to find mismatched textures or something then I remember this was sst13... not likely! Call me a prude, but I like the girl. r_picmip 10 on the other hand... :dts: :dr...

RIP. 67 is too young. I remember her posting in LEM from time to time back in the day, and as obs noted, she wrote a lot of support documents for radiant specifically, I seem to recall.

Re: What is new in your little world?
Ah yeah, playing at different areas of the neck is a great way to give a different tonality for sure. I'm thinking now trying to remember if I've ever done this. I guess it must have happened here or there but it isn't something I worry about. I tend to flick my PU selector back and forth often anyw...

Re: What is new in your little world?
A new guitar; a Gibson Les Paul Tribute- model from 2019 in satin tobacco- burst. My first "real" Gibson, despite a Thunderbird. Les Pauls never really were my kind of thing. Too hairy metal... Then 6 months ago, around came a good offer on ebay for a lefty Tribute- model . Same specs as ...

Good fun! I recorded this match too. Might be OK with OBS from my end as my ping is a lot lower.Foo wrote:Pootube
I capped this from an unlagged demo so the shots look a bit (a lot) behind target. If I had remembered to OBS capture it live it would have lined up right :tard:
