Is in the actual ioquake3 build also the widescreen issue with the icons in the loading screen fixed? That the icons look stretched?

Yeah, known issue. Using a custom engine like ioQuake fixes this issue.

Yes, I am experiencing the SAME issue. I hear the sound but the video is blank where the id video usually is. I just converted to the same settings and from what I'm reading online it's due to the video not supporting widescreen.

probably Buffy has to take the prize for worst remastering ever. from 4:3 to widescreen, with ridiculous crops and the occasional glimpses of camera crew :dork:

I already have 120 set up from desktop, so there's no need. Yeah, it looks very natural :) Almost like Quake Live :)

Also, you'll want to adjust the field of view once you get widescreen configured. I typically bump it up to 115 instead of the stock 90.

I forgot to mention that if you use a custom resolution, the movies may not work. That's why I just play in 1280x768.

seta r_customheight height of your fancy screen

seta r_customwidth width of your fancy screen

seta r_mode -1 (means instead of using the options in the setting, it will use whatever parameters you set with the cvars above)

And it should work.
