Enemy Territory | R_LoadMD3:models/players/hud/head.md3 has more than 1025 verts on a surface...

That's all I could find via google with the time I have right now, but IIRC in Quake 3 Arena you can not have over 1000 verts. Could be wrong but I believe that is correct.

afraid doing all that gives exactly the same problem. I think I'll try and reinstall quake, and try it before patching it to 1.32

the omega drivers do look pretty good though

I think Quake 3 is loads of fun, even for people who haven't played it.

We used to lan a lot, and we would always fire up a game of Q3 CTF. Even the newcomers had a blast playing it. As long as nobody takes it too seriously, it's tons of fun.

No other game does it. Not even team Arena.

But Q3, when in 1280x1024, everything is off, the buttons are in the wrong place and stuff...

Any ideas? Or is it just a bug id never fixed?

I really have no idea then. It doesn't sound like a problem in Quake 3, yet it doesn't sound like a hack either. I wouldn't worry about it anymore. As long as you're on 1.32, there shouldn't be a problem.
