Interestingly, I almost never built stairs in Q3A... but in Reflex you can double-jump off them (CPMA apparently too)... so now I am actually looking into adding such jump elements.

I think it stands a good chance of keeping a healthy playerbase. Due to the CPMA/QW playerbase being so interested, and the recent changes to QL, a lot of people will migrate to this when it hits open beta.

s_ambient is not a cvar available in baseq3. If I'm not mistaken, it's a CPMA cvar (that, or OSP, or both).

CNQ3.exe, the custom Q3 EXE allows console font size changes. Find it on the official CPMA website. You'll need the CPMA mod to use it.

If you use cnq3 with the cpma mod, you can just do a "callvote gametype (1v1, 2v2, ffa, tdm, ctf, ntf ctfs)"
