You could try this :

put your custom config in a cfg file, create an autoexec.cfg file containing :

There are one of two things you can do:

Create a custom myq3config.cfg and load it at startup using a shortcut to Q3.exe with +exec myq3config.cfg

-or-

Edit your default q3config.cfg as you like, save, then mark it as read-only.

Hmm I see a problem...
When I use name.cfg to load my config, it automatically puts it in q3config.cfg.
Must be that then.
I'll try take out most of the unused commands and see whether it works better...

I don't believe it! I've created my server with QToolkit, but when I launch the server config, the game will shutdown GL grafics and shows server running only at blue console... How to join the game entire?

I agree. It would be cool to see the GUI of the objective board read from an external config file so people could tailor it visually to match the theme of the map.

(A slick sci-fi GUI would look kind of odd on a Heretic remake)

I agree, after 15 minutes with NetRadiant, I started to find it irritating also. Configuration is different compared to the other ones and a lot of config has to be done. But I guess that I wouldn't mind if I started mapping with it from the beginning. Anyone working with Quark? Or tried it?

Nothing appeared after, went on server and there was nothing there.

Oh I know. You're typing these commands into the dedicated server window right? In that case, you have to omit the backslash (or slash). So simply type "addbot Doom 2".

If you have a stand-alone server, i.e. you connect to it with another instance of quake3, you have to rcon the addbot command: /rcon addbot doom

You'll need to set up an rcon password but the guide explains how to do that.
