In terms of physicals you can get a 1000mbps capable GBIC connect it to the switches and get the right patch leads and you should be fine - at least with a Cisco setup you would be. Not of knowledge of any converter box.

I'm not sure how the Quake Live one looks today but the :q3: one was improved in one of the later patches. So install the latest :q3: patch and your LG should look all cool and that :cool:

I'm liking the .59 patch. There is still a lot of glitchy stuff. But that has never discouraged me from playing. The zombies react better and the potential for hordes in big cities is cool.

You just have to build the "cap" as a patch-mesh and fit it the way you want. I think "cap-selection" only works for that few "given" curves in the curve menu.
Maybe try 1.6.4
