1. Do you have sv_pure to 0
2. What models do you mean? (models on the map or skins / bots for the client)?
3. If skins for q3, do you have pk3 file?

On ioq3 1.36 on excesiveplus mod the download of files needed for the game works.

If you live near a Microcenter that is probably your best chance. afaik they aren’t listing their stock or selling 3000 series online yet so you can get lucky and find one on the shelf without competing with bots.

Thanks for the tips, I do everything at once and will forget about the basics more than once.
Regarding the first sentence, do I need to extend the brush outside the brush area of the grille?
Can there be a "botclip" flush with the grid (to the grid)?

Covering the grates in bot clip will make the bot compiler see it as a single brush afaik.
For vis related issues, you just convert it to detail and use simpler brushes for the caulk hull/structural bits.

You could replace the top grating with a single brush that's textured with a grate texture and use an alpha channel to mimick the holes.

After some game play I'll comment not too bad really and a nice diversion but I don't think it will be high on my play agenda. Funny enough, as I got the Epic game play thing working I played some Unreal Tournament, Facing Worlds CTF with bots and that was good :D
