It saddens me that this title got lost in time. No big retrospective articles on gaming websites, no special events by id Software or Bethesda, nothing really. I've been in the Quake 3 editing community for a very long time and it still pains me to have seen it die. Thank god Quake still lives on with great mods and maps.

I forget that guys name but there was this one dude that rocked a 400 ping and was absolutely stellar. Blew my mind. I should re-load this game on my laptop and play some, I miss it. There's never been a shooter like it since. Closest shooter today would be Apex I'd say.

It was me. I always played with 300+ ping. When I got to college and got on the T1 lines, I felt like I had to relearn how to play.

Booger had a high ping too, but he was terrible...
