Bob Ross Video Game
In March, 2006, Bob Ross Inc. announced plans to license rights to develop a Bob Ross video game. AGFRAG Entertainment Group will receive the license and is planning on developing games for the PC, the Nintendo DS, and Nintendo's next-generation video game console, codenamed the Nintendo Revolution.

At first, the announcement was believed to be an early April Fool's Day joke. However, it was confirmed by several news sites including IGN.com and the official Bob Ross website.

Nintendo's products were chosen because of their unique ability to properly apply painting techniques to a video game console or handheld. The Nintendo DS has a touch screen which can be used to simulate painting and the Nintendo Revolution will utilize a controller that can sense 3D movement, as if the player were actually holding a paintbrush.

AGFRAG has not yet found a publisher for the games.

I second that motion - I loved that icon.

Anyone see the episode where Bob had a squirrel in the pocket of his painting smock? Classic.

he's dead actually

and he was this dude that made paintings on tv. just him and his ezel and he would totally space out in his own creations. "lets paint a tree here.. he's a happy tree, so we'll use some Van Dyke Brown mixed with a little bit of white. Gently press the canvas like so, ah yes. And maybe the tree has a friend. This will make a nice place for all the happy rabbits to play in."

he would also always start with something like a huge storming river and draw so many trees and rocks and grass around it that the end result was a forest with a tiny creek.
great stuff :icon14:

oh and it was a serious show btw.. it wasnt meant to be funny at all. it quickly became a cult classic though

You haven't heard of Bob Ross? The man is a cult figure! :)

He was this vague, weird hippie guy who could speed-paint. He'd do the most awfully kitsch stuff, landscapes, trees, always the same... but he'd do it in no time at all. He had a TV show where he'd explain his technique with a soft, hypnotising voice. Iirc he died a few years back.
