Outtake from an editorial I shot last year. Not portfolio worthy, but glad I rescued it from deletion.

For the record the reason why there's so much cloud/steam coming from the water was due to it being -40C that day. It's not something we see often here.

Yeah in Canada, it's -28 today and driving in the fog was steaming off the bay even worse than in that pic. of the 10+ years of living here I've never seen this happen let alone twice in one year.

Went ice climbing with friends today at Tiffany Falls. Perfect weather. Really awesome that in some parts, the ice is clear and you can see the waterfall flowing underneath you as you climb. It's a little unnerving trying to hit those spots with the axes or crampons for fear of breaking through.

That's intense. What a strange sport. Get any shots of the water under the ice?

I'd class it as more of a sport than darts though, which is also apparently a sport.

No photos of the clear bits of ice since they are halfway up and I'm not bringing the SLR up with me while I'm chipping off chunks of ice the size of a brick while swinging a couple of axes.

Doombrain, why u so butthurt? With that mentality, one might say that rolling downhill on wheels isn't a sport either.

New print work for portfolio. Printing everything out onto really thick Giclee (I think that's what it's called) paper. A few of these won't make it, there's a couple I'm not sure about.

is this how they will be presented? I'd get rid of the detailed separators in favor for solid white

Agreed, although I am betting they are each getting their own Giclée (dingdingding - I only know the spelling because I just bought a print myself the other day).

Yeah that's just whatever the collage program I used does to the borders. Shots are going full bleed on A2 paper.

A 'Giclée print' is a bullshit term that old retired men that don't understand ink jet used. You'd be better off asking for a fine art print (on a decent printer...).

Have a gander at http://www.hahnemuehle.com. They make some great papers but i've always found the fibre based papers are great for portrait work.

edit: lovely shots btw

My 5D and RD1 both have a thick layer of dust on them. 90% of the pics i take now are of my kids, the other 9.99999999999999% is biking shit.

This is the last photo i took after the car parked itself.
