Have you ever had a Cherry Cordial? When you bite into it you get the smooth savory taste of chocolate up front and as your teeth pass through the chocolate shell you get the sweet and slightly tangy taste of cherry filling. That is how this beer starts and finishes. It's freaky how they sequence and create these flavor profiles.

Visiting the local surf club I discovered a nice boutique/craft beer called Stone & Wood and I tasted the Pacific Ale variety. It was so nice because, I say tasted but I had 4 scooners (425 mL).

Sadly you will probably never get to try this as it is hails from Byron Bay New South Wales on the east coast of Australia.

If interested Clicky & Clicky

How do you find it? I'm considering getting one of these for Bar Carlos in the new gaff: https://www.beerhawk.co.uk/perfect-draft-starter-bundle

It's harder to find different beers you like. Especially if it's a mirco brew.

Tasted a new drop these last few days, apparently brewed in Vietnam and comes in a 330ml can, short of the usual :smirk:

Tastes OK and cheap at $36AUD for 30 cans, $1.20 a can, cheaper than Coke a Cola.

I've had some absolute treats over the last 6 months...very nice indeed. Mostly sticking with the Tiny Rebel given my proximity to the brewery

With the opening of several new places, it's really cranked up the offerings from all the stores in an attempt to compete.
Here's my recent pick-up. Needless to say, I'm a stout fan.

The beer labels in the US are wild :olo: Sours are good shit though! I like when they are verging on vinegar. Good stuff. But I also drink actual vinegar with my dinner so I'm probably biased. I think I just really love anything fermented... beer, kimchi, yogurt, sauerkraut, pickled veg, vinegar... tasty snacks.

If you ever find yourself in York in the UK, there's a pub down by the river called The Maltings, some of their local brewed ciders taste of vinegar. They're utterly disgusting. You'll love them.

Lots of the smaller breweries in frankonia and bavaria going to vanish during the crisis.
Most of them served just the local region, town and surroundings.
Some of them had been brewing since centuries and were running restaurants themselves.
Frankonia has (had) the most dense concentration of (micro-) breweries in the world.

A cultural loss.
Most of them I never even had the opportunity to taste.

That actually sounds pretty good :owned: :owned:

The vinegar is just a tonic, it's not like I drink a huge fuckin' glass of it. I take about an ounce with my dinner and keep eating. You get used to it. Aids digestion
