Geoff's wife wouldn't fit in the tub unless it's the size of an olympic pool.

Geoff, serious question: Did you ever give your wife the high hard one while in the hot tub?

From the looks of Geoff's run-down "house" I'd say the black people would prefer to live on the street anyway.

I got all the lumber minus the top and bottom plates. As soon as I sell the tub I'm picking up windows and doors thenputting up cross bracing on joints so wall will mount to something...en I guess it's time to grind off the railing and build wall... Etc...

Question... It's a 20 foot wall...do I need plates that run the span or can I use 2 10 foot plates? Reason i ask cuz I will look a little ridicous driving down the road with 20 ft 2x4's on the hood of my awesomevan.. I mean I'll do it but still...

Don't you live in the southwest? Wtf, do you need a carport for? Real men live in states that get snow, so I guess it makes sense.

Just stagger the top and bottom plate and you should be fine. I don't know what kind of load your wall would be carrying. But you may want to make your top plates with (2) 2" x 6" nailed together vertically.

Down south 2x4 is within code...it's not load bearing...only need 2x4s for headers...all too easy...

If it's non load bearing the (2) staggered 2" x 4" header should be fine. I'm certain you didn't pull a permit, so WTF. Just make sure you get the moisture resistant drywall. Also, make sure your 2" x 4" stud spacing is no more than 16".
