Started on ffa/insta servers with 300-500 ping, moved onto CA, then the last years of q3 were spent playing OSP ctf pickup on quakenet, xs4all and the occasional clanbase match.
I still can't enjoy QL properly - feels like playing a basic install of q3 with no promode/osp :/

well yes... didn't word my sentence very well :)
I meant that QL is essentially "baseq3" and it doesn't feel like what q3 was to me for most years (i.e. osp/promode) so I can't get into it again. Also a big part of playing was the irc and server community, which QL lacks.

I had my moments but very inconsistent, so I mostly sucked.

Good players I remember, azer, brisk, Don Carlos, doomer, duhard, emka, julios, mankunt, runt (plained), stoner, Foo, mAd, puff, lawl, amidy. Oh and seza..
