Yeah I got 10k on my original set and 15k when I switched to Michelin pilots... 4 I think? They have that dual compound which worked out great. The middle wore out about the same speed as the sides.

Ninja edit: i drive lots of highways.

Got the opportunity to Drive a Hellcat challenger this weekend which was a blast. I really didn't think there was going to be that drastic of a difference between my Scat Pack and the Hellcat, but it was like a totally different experience. Not only do you get planted in your seat, but the skin on your face gets pulled in a bit on hard acceleration. ...and the scream of that supercharger really adds to the experience. returning to my car suddenly 485HP wasn't enough...

[edit: I failed to mention we fit 4 overweight guys in the car and it still pulled like a champ.]

Other than larger more sticky tires, not much is needed to enjoy it for the first year. They are pretty scary right off the showroom floor. 156+ in 3rd gear, sideways 1 - 4 if you feel the need to scare your passengers.

Well I said fuck it and popped on this bad boy today.

2015 FLSTFB103 with only 1100 miles on it. It has Vance and Hines exhaust, Stage 1 kit and Screaming Eagle intake installed by the previous owner.

This thing sounds beast.

People die every day from many different things. Respecting yourself and everyone around you while you ride is the key to staying alive. Once you lose that respect and start taking things granted is when shit goes wrong.

I treat every stop sign like someone is going to run it, every intersection as if someone is going to turn without looking and when driving in traffic I follow at a safe distance and stay in my lane. There's a lot more you need to do while riding a bike to make sure you stay safe. Although anything can happen, you can't let fear keep you from riding.

Thanks...

I'm looking forward to doing some upgrades. Raising the handle bars, Blue tooth stereo, LED lights, detachable wind shield and single saddle bag.

New toy, lots to do.

I raised my bars almost 2 inches and it made a world of difference on my back. Also added a detachable windshield. Takes about 5 seconds to take it off or put it on. Definitely worth it if you like riding with or without. That Fatboy is a very good all around bike.

Looks like I'm going to have to raise them about 6" and that's going to mean all new cables. :disgust:

The windshield will be good for colder and rainy days or really long rides.
