Started rehab today, injured my hip flexor in a game a couple weeks ago and now my hips are out of alignment. The inflammation was so bad that it caused an infected lymph node in my groin. Shouldn't have played through the pain for so long.

Hockey? A friend of mine had to have a double hip replacement when he was ~29 due to hockey injuries. Apparently his hip sockets were so worn they were rubbing inside his pelvis causing lots of pain :/. Dangerous game!

Today, travelling the the 'big smoke' to see an apartment auction. I am not buying but I want to see what happens as it has been years since I attended one. We are taking our CBD apartment to auction (if not sold beforehand in February)

and..... I am battling my ISP re slow connection speeds,1/10 what they should be >:(

Got tickets for Roger Waters' Us+Them tour with my dad 10 months from now. He's a lifelong Pink Floyd fan and hugely influenced the music of my upbringing so I'm really stoked for this.

My mentor and supervisor at work for the last five years announced yesterday that she is leaving and going off to travel the world for the next six months "before it's too late" (she's in her late thirties). I was pretty shocked... it's going to be a tough change in my little world but I'm happy that she's making her dream come true.

She about your age megami? A couple of years older perhaps :) Nice too you're happy she has escaped :)
I trust you'll score another suitable mentor/supervisor. My last and final supervisor was a bastard!

Re: What is new in my little world: Besides the ISP/ADSL saga that should be rectified tomorrow, I will have to venture to the shops, challenging the crowds to grab some last Christmas gifts and then off to the bottle shop for some classy champagne for Christmas lunch with the family. Less than a week to go

She's a few years older, yes :) I believe her replacement will be someone from our other office halfway across the country, whom everyone likes and respects. It will be tough to replace her knowledge, though... we are a small research department!

Hope your holidays go swimmingly :) Have a friend in Brisbane who has gone to spend them with her in-laws in Darwin -- she and her husband have also just confirmed they are coming here to CA in June, which I am excited about.
