It's made from newspaper and glue, soon as you jack it up it'll break

I attended a work reunion yesterday and got to catch up with workmates from near 30 years ago
The gatherings are held yearly and I do attend most so some faces are familiar. There must have been 6 to 10 yesterday that I haven't seen in over 30 years. It appears we have all aged well and yes, I have had my eyes tested and enhanced*.

And yet Jeep are ranked in the bottom 7 for reliability by consumer reports :olo:

When you see one without any doors it wasn't on purpose, they just hit a speed bump :olo:

JD Power too, but it's common knowledge.

Crap suspension, faulty diffs, exploding gear boxes, bent chassis (at one point requiring to provide a lifetime warranty).

They're pieces of shit. They're owned by FIAT ffs, Fix It Again Tomorrow FIAT.

And 2 reputable independent non bias consumer studies.

This is someone who actually supported your KIA purchase too.

Sadly red font guy is correct on this one. If you're using it to drive to and from work it'll be ok, probably. It'll probably cost a shit ton in gas though.

I used to own a jeep and that thing was a gas guzzler. It had a 3.7l engine and cost about 50$ for a round trip to a city near by about an hour away. Same trip in my 3.7l 370Z is about 20$.

I also had a few mechanical issues with it but overall it held up. It was a pretty capable trail vehicle though I'll give it that.

She's using it to drive to work. She doesn't care about cost of gas or anything else. I'll sneak off in it to go off roading on occasion...

I win again...

driving 30k miles in a year? what a waste of time. maybe you should move closer to her workplace.

also why does she get a jeep before you get the boat you've been talking about for the last 10 years?

30 miles includes her driving to work and back home, then me driving to school... Then band trips etc...

Quit looking at specs. Those are always underrated anyway. They will pull a 'real' boat, even up the ramp.

Lol I wouldn't try it... Not with a proper wakeboard boat and the steep ramps here. I have seen a few f150's go down to the bottom of lake Travis...

Re: What is new in your little world?

Just had an IEC cut out off the ridge on my nose and it is getting a little sore now the anesthetic is wearing off :(

IEC = intraepidermal carcinoma, in short a superficial form of skin cancer. Queensland Australia is the world leader in skin cancer occurrence. Thankfully we are aware what we need to look out for. FYI, mine started as a weep of blood from the skin for no apparent reason  I thought an knew to go have it looked at....

Been in one of the Adobe head offices over the last few days. Lots and lots of people get into lifts, yet I've only seen 6 people about the entire floor I'm based on and a few more on another floor. Only 3 floors of building so I assume they are all couped up on floor 1....odd.
