Was active on the forum at the time of the quake3 beta; have been lurking around since.
Miss those days when the only userbase competition was Unreal Tournament, people playing on dial-up would whine about lpbs, and we would debate how to get our FPS consistently over 40 at decent quality settings.

back in the day the epic failure of Horka Thane's initial appearance was quite memorable.

I used to be active on T&T. Now I just lurk and occasionally sling shit into pools.

I must say, the photo thread greatly contributed to my picking up photography :)

Wrong. The The last movie you saw thread is the #1 epic thread. More pages, see:

search.php?keywords=the+last+movie+you+saw&terms=all&author=&fid[]=1&sc=1&sf=titleonly&sk=t&sd=d&sr=topics&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

328 compared to the Photo Thread's 189.

imo even tho the movie thread is more pages the photo thread it more-epic because the content is derived soley from us ey

yes i know the movie thread opinions are derived from us also, but the photo thread trumps that because members "went out and did" to create the pics

DTS, epic isn't about length, it's about content

kind of like all the dicks you take up your ass

Same here- though I don't post much any more and primarily lurk.

Amazing the number of names I remember. I wonder what happened to some of these people (STDGen, etc).

inolen, at the ripe age of 14, was a hell of a Q3 bot programmer.

It's no surprise he ended up in the game industry...

inolen is an Ubber Fagtoid but the boy is a genius.
I used his bot to try and catch a cheater on the Q3W server when everyone complained about this guy with a supposed wall hack.
I found no cheaters at Q3W.

Inolen <3

Dug deep to the bottom of the old hard drive for that. I think that's him, I remember being fairly impressed when he posted it.

Name I haven't seen yet: phoq. The Q3W A-Team was a fun diversion in the Void.

Reading this thread has brought back a lot of memories...
