Don't think I'd even want to go down that slope, let alone do a flip like that..

Any idea how hard water can be when you fall into it the wrong way at relatively high velocities?

Sure sure, but its better than concrete or dirt. No contest. Plus the stream lined bike wont feel like a brick when it hits the water, it will actually help penetrate the surface.

Trust me, as someone who has spent part of my life as a competitive swimmer (and lots of diving), smacking into water hurts (and not even from a very great height) and could easily be fatal at higher velocities. I've seen people take bad dives from just a couple of metres and they've had to be helped out of the pool. I slipped off the starting block once and twisted my neck from the impact with the water, and was in pain for a week.

I know I get it but...

What's that ?, like 20 ft up from the ramp exit ?. Not saying it's painless or risk free but it's a good place to practice considering the alternatives and is something divers do regulary from much higher.

Divers start from much smaller platforms, they practice until they get it perfect and then move a bit higher. These guys do the exact same thing, they start on small ramps and move up to larger ones, no pool of water involved. I can't believe I'm explaining this, I feel like I should be Captain Obvious right now.

No one was saying they tried it with water, only said it as a possibility that seems viable.

So, we are bigger faggots than the guy in pink flying the gay plane ?
